Designed for students aged 3+, the Pre-Primary and Primary Contemporary Dance syllabus offers three foundational grades, providing a clear and structured pathway into contemporary dance, leading up to Grade 8.
This session is specifically forballet teachers trained in the RAD syllabi who are interested in delivering contemporary dance for young students. Whether you’re new to teaching contemporary or looking to refine your skills, this syllabus offers a structured approach that aligns with the high standards of ballet education and supports students growth across all essential physical and creative skills.

The next Syllabus Training course for this syllabus will take place online on 17–18 May 2025 for dance teachers in the UK, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Three Ofqual-recognised Contemporary Dance grades, suitable for all from 3 age and over:
Children are supported to develop physical skills, improve communication, harness musicality, foster creativity and grow in confidence.
This syllabus provides teachers with a fully-accessible and inclusive framework that facilitates the growth and development of all children.
