Opportunities for Canadian Dance Educators to expand their Contemporary Offering

Rambert Grades is pleased to announce a programme of activity for Canada-based dance educators in February and April 2026, offering opportunities to explore, experience, and engage with the Contemporary Dance syllabus.

Designed to support teachers working across a range of studio contexts, these upcoming events provide an introduction to Rambert Grades and the awarding organisation’s approach to developing confident, expressive, and technically grounded dancers through pioneering contemporary dance training.

Free Online Information Session

Canadian dance educators are invited to join a free online information session which offers an overview of how the Contemporary Dance syllabus supports dancer progression from age 3 through to pre-professional standards.

Time: 8.30 PST (Vancouver) / 11.30 EST (Toronto)
Format: Online

Free and open to all.

During the free session, participants will explore the structure and aims of each stage of the syllabus and understand student development across the Technical, Creative, and Performance Strands. The session will also outline how Rambert Grades training complements other styles including RAD ballet training. Attendees will gain insight into teacher training, assessment approaches and available discounts for multi-teacher memberships, RAD members, and graduates.

Empowering the Individual CPD Workshop, Toronto

On 12 April, dance educators are invited to attend a live taster workshop in Toronto, focussed in Empowering the Individual and led by Helen Cox.

This practical session provides an opportunity to experience the entire Rambert Grades Contemporary Dance syllabus in action from age 3 to Grade 8, across twelve Ofqual-regulated qualifications. Putting the spotlight on empowering individuality – a core value of Rambert Grades, this practical session offers participants the opportunity to explore learn how Rambert Grades Contemporary Dance can support expressive, confident and creatively curious dancers.

The workshop is suitable for teachers working with a range of age groups and levels and is open to all practitioners. 

 

 

 

Looking Ahead: Syllabus Training July-August 2026

Rambert Grades will host a Syllabus Training course online from 25 July 2026, with time-zone friendly delivery for teachers based in the Americas and Europe. The course is the next opportunity for Canada-based teachers to receive training and full syllabus content required to deliver:

•  Level 1 (Grades 1-3)
•  Level 2 (Grades 4-5)
•  Level 3 (Grades 6-8)

Upon completion, teachers join a growing international community of over 650 Rambert Grades Trained Teachers across more than 40 countries, supporting contemporary dance education worldwide.
