Dive into the renowned choreography of Hofesh Shechter. 

Rambert Grades is proud to present a two-hour online physical workshop which offers an immersive exploration to Shechter's distinctive movement language. 

Led by Hofesh Shechter Company artist, Oscar Li, the session includes an improvised warm-up, exploration of key fundamentals underpinning Shechter’s renowned choreographic language, and insight into recent Hofesh Shechter Company repertoire. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of musicality, rhythm, grounding and dynamic intensity that characterizes Shechter’s work.  

Suitable for dance educators, professional dancers, and Level 3–advanced students, this workshop provides practical tools and embodied understanding that can be applied across contemporary dance technique and teaching. 

The workshop connects participants directly to the professional stage, offering insight into one of the most influential contemporary choreographic voices working internationally today.

About your Workshop Leader
Oscar Jinghu Li
 
An alumnus of Rambert School and Shechter II, Oscar has established an extensive performance career with Hofesh Shechter Company.
His company repertoire includes international tours of acclaimed works including Grand Finale, Political Mother: Unplugged, Contemporary Dance 2.0, Double Murder, Political Mother: Choreographers Cut and Theatre of Dreams. He was also part of the creation and performance season of Oedipus, in collaboration with The Old Vic and Rami Malek.

He additionally works in the freelance, multidisciplinary sphere, collaborating with artists such as Bullyache, FKA Twigz, Will Pegna (All Terrain Training) and other noted artists.
