Creative Stimuli

Stimuli 1 - 15 should be used for Graded Examination Entries from January 2023.

The stimuli are not grade specific and any stimuli may be used for any level.

Exemplar Exam Submissions

Here, we have provided some examples of improvised scores performed for examinations.

What is brilliant about these selected exam responses is:

• we see each individual’s ability to explore and interpret a number of ideas

• there is a connection to the group as a whole

• these show an interpretation that includes a variety of movement which differs in dynamic range, with moments of unison or spatial connection that build and create structure for the improvised sections

• not only are we are able to see evidence of prior investigation into the stimuli, but present moment improvised dancing as well.
